Take a virtual tour!

The Halton Waldorf School, nestled in northeast Burlington, is an independent, non-publicly funded school, offering early childhood programs, elementary grades and high school.

Halton Waldorf School is a school community in which students become thoughtful, resourceful, confident young people who are prepared to navigate the world with resilience and a sense of purpose and belonging.

We provide a holistic educational program of humanities, maths, sciences, world languages, music, and movement, as well as fine, practical, and performing arts, in a vibrant experiential learning environment that is connected to nature and community.

Ages 3 to 6

Children experience a learning environment of beauty and wonder, full of warm, flowing colours and natural objects that invite imagination and interaction through play.

Ages 6 – 14

We inspire our students to evolve into creative thinkers who are personally centered and strongly connected to humanity and the environment.

Ages 14 – 18

Our High School offers a rigorous blend of sciences, mathematics, arts and humanities, with a healthy dose of social life and physical activity.

As a non-profit organization and registered charity, we are an inclusive community with families of diverse cultures, and within our resources, we strive to support socioeconomic diversity through our financial assistance program.

The Halton Waldorf School is accredited by the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America (AWSNA) and we are full members of the Waldorf Early Childhood Association of North America (WECAN). We are also members of the Ontario Federation of Independent Schools.

'One of the strengths of the Waldorf curriculum is its balance and depth; the emphasis on the arts…the rich use of the spoken word through poetry and storytelling. Above all, the way the lessons integrate traditional subject matter is, to my knowledge, unparalleled.'

Michael Ende, Author The Neverending Story, Waldorf alumnus
