Summer Camp

Halton Waldorf School is pleased to offer a summer camp inspired by our love of Waldorf education. Your child will be immersed in the natural world within our 5 acres of forest land, warm breezes and sunshine, along with a balance of  engaging games, crafts,  skill-building and arts. Our camp program is proudly managed by Halton Waldorf School faculty members and early childhood educators.  

Junior Camp ( ages 4 - 6 )  

Enjoy a play-based curriculum interwoven with crafts and outdoor activities. The leaders of the camp are experienced Waldorf early childhood educators.


• abundant free play and exploration ~  outdoors/indoors including daily walks in the forest
• circle time ~ rhymes, songs, and movement games
• quiet activities ~ colouring, painting,  storytelling and crafts! 


Senior Camps ( ages 7 - 11 )

Celebrate the joys of summer through a variety of stimulating crafts and activities, exploration in nature, music and co-operative games. The leaders of the camp are experienced Waldorf teachers who will provide the structure and leadership for a unique camp experience.

• healthy doses of quiet activity in a cool spot  


Camp registration will open internally to our HWS Families on April 1st.

Public registration will start on April 12th.


Camp Week Dates:


Week 1:   June 27 - 30
Week 2:   July 4 - 8
Week 3:  July 11 - 15
Week 4:  July 18 - 22
Week 5:  July 25 - 29


​Camp Times:

Core Hours: 9:00 am to 3:00 pm 
Aftercare:   3:00 to 4:30 pm 

Camp Registration Package

If our school is mandated to shut-down during camp, refunds will apply for days included in the closure.

The registration form must be completed, and full payment made to reserve a spot at camp.


Applicants are accepted on a first-received basis. Please make cheques payable to the Halton Waldorf School. Payment can be dropped off at the school or mailed to Halton Waldorf School, 2193 Orchard Road, Burlington, Ontario L7R 7J8.


We can also accept debit. Please call the school to pay by debit. The debit machine will be brought outside to you to process payment.

What to Bring to Camp

  • A nut-free lunch, snack and beverage; additional food for aftercare time if applicable 

  • Sunscreen and a hat, bug spray 

  • A hat for every day; rain hat for rain, sun hat for sun! 

  • Clothes for all weather, plus change of clothes.


Daily wellness screening will be a requirement of attending camp.


Halton Waldorf School is not able to offer refunds for missed days of camp, this includes when children are unwell or screened out from attending camp.
