Summer Camp

Halton Waldorf School is pleased to offer a summer camp inspired by our love of Waldorf education. Your child will be immersed in the natural world within our 5 acres of forest land, warm breezes and sunshine, along with a balance of  engaging games, crafts,  skill-building and arts. Our camp program is proudly managed by Halton Waldorf School faculty members and early childhood educators.

Junior Camp ( ages 4 - 6 )  

Enjoy a play-based curriculum interwoven with crafts and outdoor activities. The leaders of the camp are experienced Waldorf early childhood educators.

 

• abundant free play and exploration ~  outdoors/indoors including daily walks in the forest
• circle time ~ rhymes, songs, and movement games
• quiet activities ~ colouring, painting,  storytelling and crafts!

Senior Camps ( ages 7 - 11 )

Celebrate the joys of summer through a variety of stimulating crafts and activities, exploration in nature, music and co-operative games. The leaders of the camp are experienced Waldorf teachers who will provide the structure and leadership for a unique camp experience.

Core Hours: 9:00 am to 3:00 pm
Complimentary Early Drop-off: 8:30 am
Aftercare Hours ($): 3:00 to 4:30 pm 


Early Bird -  $290 or $232 for Session 2
Regular -  $315 or $252 for Session 2
Aftercare -  $115 or $92 for Session 2


Early Bird pricing applies if registered by April 4th, 2024.
Discount does not apply to aftercare fees.
Camp will not be held on Monday, July 1st, Canada Day.

Registration Process
 

Registration will open to HWS families on February 28th, 2024. Public registration will open on March 14th. 2024.
 

Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Space is limited. To receive early bird pricing, registration must be received no later than April 1st, 2024.
 

Halton Waldorf School is not able to offer refunds for missed days of camp, including when children are unwell. Payment is non-refundable for all cancellations made less than two weeks before the session start date. An administrative fee of $100 will be charged for refund requests received prior to two weeks of the session start date.

Note: Payments made by credit card will be charged an additional .75 cents + 3.5% service fee. To avoid paying additional fees, please set up direct deposit through your bank account.

What to Bring to Camp
 

  • A nut-free lunch, snack and beverage; additional food for aftercare time if applicable.
     

  • Sunscreen and bug spray.
     

  • A hat for every day; rain hat for rain, sun hat for sun! 
     

  • Clothes for all weather, plus a change of clothes.
     

  • Please ensure all items are clearly labelled.
