Summer Camp

Halton Waldorf School is pleased to offer a summer camp inspired by our love of Waldorf education. Your child will be immersed in the natural world within our 5 acres of forest land, warm breezes and sunshine, along with a balance of  engaging games, crafts,  skill-building and arts. Our camp program is proudly managed by Halton Waldorf School faculty members and early childhood educators.

Junior Camp ( ages 4 - 6 )  

Enjoy a play-based curriculum interwoven with crafts and outdoor activities. The leaders of the camp are experienced Waldorf early childhood educators.

 

• abundant free play and exploration ~  outdoors/indoors including daily walks in the forest
• circle time ~ rhymes, songs, and movement games
• quiet activities ~ colouring, painting,  storytelling and crafts!

Senior Camps ( ages 7 - 11 )

Celebrate the joys of summer through a variety of stimulating crafts and activities, exploration in nature, music and co-operative games. The leaders of the camp are experienced Waldorf teachers who will provide the structure and leadership for a unique camp experience.

• healthy doses of quiet activity in a cool spot

Session 2*:  June 29th - July 3rd (Short Week)
Session 3:  July 6th - July 10th

​Daily Camp Schedule
​

Core Hours: 9:00 am to 3:00 pm
Complimentary Early Drop-off: 8:30 am
Aftercare Hours ($): 3:00 to 4:30 pm 


Early Bird -  $300 or $240 for Session 2
Regular -  $325 or $260 for Session 2
Aftercare -  $125 or $100 for Session 2


Early Bird pricing applies if registered by March 23rd, 2026.
Discount does not apply to aftercare fees.
*Camp will not be held on Wednesday, July 1st, Canada Day.

Registration Process
 

Registration will open to HWS families on February 2nd, 2026, and to the public on March 2nd, 2026.
 

Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Space is limited. To receive early bird pricing, registration must be received no later than March 23rd, 2026.
 

Payments are non-refundable for cancellations made within two weeks of the session start date. For cancellations made more than two weeks before the session begins, a $100 cancellation fee will be deducted from the refund. No refunds are provided for missed camp days, including absences due to illness.

Note: Payments made by credit card will be charged an additional .75 cents + 3.5% service fee. To avoid paying these fees, please set up direct deposit through your bank account.

What to Bring to Camp
 

  • A nut-free lunch, snack and beverage; additional food for aftercare, if applicable.
     

  • Sunscreen and bug spray.
     

  • A hat for every day; rain hat for rain, sun hat for sun! 
     

  • Clothes for all weather, plus a change of clothes.
     

  • Please ensure all items are clearly labelled.

AWSNA

Founded in 1984, Halton Waldorf School is an independent, accredited Waldorf school serving students in Burlington and the surrounding area. We offer programs from parent and child through grade 12. HWS is a place to grow intellectually, artistically and socially. Our early years programming is accredited by WECAN. Our grades 1 through 8 are accredited by AWSNA.
