Last week me and my awesome 7th and 8th grade classmates went on a super cool 5-day tour to Quebec, Canada. The trip was organized by Bright Sparks Tour Company, and let me tell you, they really know how to make things exciting! We had two days of bus travel, but guess what? We turned those bus rides into a party!
We sang our favourite songs, chatted and laughed with the 8th graders and even had dance-offs in the aisles. It was like our own little rolling dance floor! We made so many new friends and had a blast along the way.
When we finally arrived in Quebec, we checked into Hotel Universel, which was super awesome! The best part was the pool. We could jump in and splash around whenever we wanted. It was the perfect way to relax and have fun after a long day of exploring.
Speaking of exploring, we visited so many incredible places! First, we went on an ecological walk through Canyon Saint Anne. The views were breathtaking and we even saw a waterfall! It was like being in a nature wonderland. Then we visited the Sainte Anne de Beaupre Basilica, which was so beautiful and filled with amazing history.
We got to see the magnificent Montmorency Falls, which were even taller than Niagara Falls! We felt like tiny ants standing next to them! And of course, we couldn't miss exploring Old Quebec, with its charming streets and fascinating history. We even rode the Funiculaire du Vieux Quebec, which is like an old-timey elevator that takes you up to a stunning view of the city.
But wait, there's more! We visited a traditional Huron site called Onhoüa Chetek8e. We learned all about the Huron people and their culture. It was super cool to see how they lived and learn about their traditions.
We also got a taste of history at the Forts et Châteaux Saint-Louis. We felt like brave knights and queens as we explored the old fortresses. And let's not forget the Rue du Petit Champlain, a street filled with cute little shops and cafés. It was like stepping into a fairy tale!
The cherry on top was the fancy Canadian dinner we had at Sugar Shack. We dressed up and had a delicious meal with all kinds of yummy Canadian dishes. We felt so fancy and grown-up!
Our trip to Quebec was a dream come true. We learned so much, practiced our French, had fun and made memories that will last a lifetime. I want to give a big shoutout and thanks to our incredible chaperones, teachers and Halton Waldorf School for making this unforgettable trip to Quebec possible. We can't wait for more adventures like this.
