Thursday Skate | HWS Parent Association Fundraiser
 
Join our HWS community for an afternoon of skating, fun and connection! Our Parent Association's Thursday Skate program is back, inviting Kindergarten and Grades 1 and 2 families to enjoy time together on the ice throughout the winter season.
 
Location: Appleby Ice Centre, Rink 2
Time: Thursdays, 1:30 – 2:30 PM
Cost: $125 per family for 13 skating sessions
 
Skating Dates:
November: 5, 12, 19, 26
December: 3, 10, 17
January: 7, 21, 28
February: 18, 25
March: 4
 
To celebrate the upcoming school breaks, families are also warmly invited to gather for coffee, tea and snacks in Community Room 1 following skating on December 17 and March 4, from 2:30 – 3:00 PM.
 
Please note: Adult supervision and CSA-approved helmets are required. There will be no skating on January 14, February 4 or February 11.
 
Skating Safety Reminders
All children must wear a CSA-approved hockey helmet. A full-face cage is strongly recommended for recreational skating.
Hockey participants must wear a CSA-approved hockey helmet with a full-face cage and full protective hockey gear.
The hockey area is for hockey participants only. Recreational skaters must remain in the designated skating area and keep a safe distance from the hockey section. Children must not gather, watch, or lean along the dividers separating the two areas.
Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising their children and ensuring they follow these safety guidelines.
