Math reviews being offered to Halton students


No charge online program – Grades 8, 9, and 10

The Halton Waldorf School would like to support our neighbourhood and local families of Halton Region by offering Math assistance at no charge. Lessons will be provided for grades 8, 9 and 10 students through our online platform and will be led by our well-versed High School Chair and Mathematics Teacher.


The Halton Waldorf School in an independent school that has been a part of the Burlington community for the last 35 years. As our school navigates these unusual times, our distance education program continues to grow and evolve. Our math review lessons will be offered in real-time via Zoom and will include opportunities for interactive learning.

Grade 8 Math Review

Monday May 11th 4-5pm ​Mixed Operations – Rational Numbers, Integers

Monday May 18th 4-5pm ​ Algebra Review, including Linear Equations

Monday May 25th 4-5pm ​

Grade 9 Review – Principles of Mathematics, Academic (MPM1D)

Monday May 11th 5:30 - 6:30pm ​ Applying Laws of Exponents

Monday May 18th 5:30 - 6:30pm ​ Algebra Review, including Linear Equations

Monday May 25th 5:30 - 6:30pm ​Linear Relations

Grade 10 Review – Principles of Mathematics, Academic (MPM2D)

Tuesday May 12th 4 - 5pm ​ Simplifying vs Factoring Algebraic Expressions

Tuesday May 19th 4 - 5pm ​Quadratic Functions Review

Tuesday May 26th 4 - 5pm ​ Trigonometry Review

Although offered at no charge, these lessons require pre-registration.


Practical life today requires comfort with mathematics. A full high school mathematics program is required for understanding the modern world. Furthermore, mathematics is our introduction to sense-free thinking.
