About the Event
We are set to host our long-running family festival. Mayfair - Halton Waldorf School's annual celebration of spring, is on Sunday, May 26, from noon to 4:00 p.m.
The event will commence with a performance from Halton Waldorf students as they dance around the Maypole. The festival will also feature musical performances, a hula hoop jam session, and entertainment from Andrew Giordano showcasing circus talents with a twist of comedy.
Children can also participate in various activities throughout the afternoon, including a tea party, digging for treasures and gems, handcrafting skipping ropes and braving a knight's obstacle course.
Food will be available for purchase including pizza, samosas, freshly-popped kettle corn, and barbeque items from Curbside Food Truck.
Cynthia Laezza, a parent from the school and event organizer describes the event; “Mayfair is an opportunity for Halton Waldorf School to give back to our community. Mayfair is open to the public and there is no admission fee to attend. Our activities and food are reasonably priced, and we look forward to celebrating spring with other families from the Burlington area. All are welcome!”.
More than 30 local artisans will be on-site at the Mayfair Marketplace.
Amy Jordan, event committee member shared; “Our Mayfair Marketplace will feature an array of handicrafts with many local vendors selling one-of-a-kind items. Our Waldorf Tomtem store will also be open to the public throughout the festival!”.
